01 · What downloads

What is in the storyboard template set.

The three Excel workbooks are where you do the work. The single PowerPoint deck is where you present it. They share the RDMAICS spine and nothing else, because calculating and presenting are different jobs.

The Excel storyboard template, where the project gets calculated.

One workbook per belt. You type the raw numbers and the sheets do the arithmetic, ranking and plotting. This is the file you work in day to day while the project runs. The sheets below are shown with sample data from a fictitious accounts payable project.

Live calculation

Sigma level, DPMO, capability, RPN, cumulative percentage and weighted scores all recalculate as you type.

Self sorting tables

Pareto ranks causes highest to lowest and flags the vital few. The chart redraws itself.

Automatic plotting

Impact versus effort and the stakeholder grid place their own markers from the scores you enter.

Belt scaled

Yellow Belt 55 sheets, Green Belt 71, Black Belt 75. Same spine, more tools as the belt requires.

Clickable index

Each workbook opens on a navigation sheet. Select a tool name and Excel jumps straight to it.

Unlocked

No protected sheets and no hidden formulas. Rename, extend and rebrand as you need.

03 · The PowerPoint deck

The PowerPoint storyboard template, where the project gets presented.

A separate deck covering the same 75 tools in slide form. This is the file you open in front of a sponsor, a coach or a tollgate panel. No formulas, no cell grid, nothing to project badly on a screen.

Built for a screen

16:9 slides with type sized to read from the back of a meeting room, not spreadsheet cells shrunk to fit.

Belt badges

Every tool slide is marked YB, GB or BB so a candidate knows which slides their belt requires.

Phase dividers

Seven full bleed dividers announce each phase, so a long review has a visible structure.

Tollgate slides

Each phase closes on a checklist slide with reviewer, date and a recorded gate decision.

Drawn diagrams

The fishbone, SIPOC and matrices are drawn shapes you type into, not screenshots.

Your template

Apply your own theme, logo and colours, or keep the Lean 6 Sigma Hub styling as supplied.

04 · Which file, when

They are not the same file in two skins.

The workbooks and the deck do different jobs at different points in the project. Most people run the workbook all the way through, then present from the deck at each tollgate.

3 files · 201 sheets

Use it for
Doing the work. Entering data, running the numbers, building the evidence.
Who touches it
The belt candidate and the project team.

Output
A complete, auditable project record a coach can open and check.

PowerPoint deck

1 file · 75 slides

Use it for
Telling the story. Tollgate reviews, steering meetings, final sign off.
Who touches it
The belt candidate, presenting to sponsors and reviewers.
Strength
Readable on a screen. Phase dividers and belt badges guide the room.
Scope
One file covering all three belts, with each slide badged YB, GB or BB.
Output
A presentation you can walk a panel through without rebuilding anything.

05 · The spine

Seven phases. Seven tollgates. Nothing skipped.

RDMAICS puts Recognise at the front and Sustain at the back, because that is where most projects are won and lost. Each phase closes with a checklist and a recorded gate decision: go, go with conditions, no go, or rework.

Yellow Belt 55 tools · Green Belt 71 · Black Belt 75 · PowerPoint deck carries all 75

07 · Inside the workbooks

1,214 live formulas doing the arithmetic.

This section applies to the Excel workbooks only. The PowerPoint deck carries no formulas by design, because a slide that recalculates in front of a panel is a slide that goes wrong.

01

Sigma calculator

Enter units, opportunities and defects. DPU, DPO, DPMO, yield and sigma level return against the conversion table.

02

Self sorting Pareto

Type causes in any order. The sheet ranks them, runs the cumulative percentage, flags the vital few and redraws the chart.

03

Stakeholder quadrants

Score influence and interest. The sheet assigns Manage Closely, Keep Satisfied, Keep Informed or Monitor and plots the position.

04

FMEA risk priority

Severity, occurrence and detection multiply into RPN so the highest risk failure modes rise to the top.

05

Gage R and R verdict

The measurement system sheet returns an acceptance result rather than leaving you to interpret the percentage.

06

Weighted matrices

Project selection, cause and effect, Pugh and risk assessment all total and rank without manual arithmetic.

08 · Who it fits

Who the storyboard template is built for.

  • Belt candidates who need a project record a coach and a certifying body will accept
  • Practitioners running live improvement work who are tired of rebuilding templates
  • Coaches and Master Black Belts reviewing a cohort in one consistent format
  • Training providers and internal CI teams standardising across Yellow, Green and Black Belt

09 · Be clear

What it is not.

  • Not a statistics package. It structures and records your analysis. Minitab or SigmaXL still handle heavy computation on large datasets.
  • Not a training course. It assumes you know what a SIPOC and a control plan are for.
  • Not a certification. No exam and no certificate attach to this product.
  • Not pre-filled with your data. The sample figures on this page are illustrative. You bring the project.

10 · One price

The complete storyboard template set, sold together.

A Yellow Belt today is a Green Belt next year. The format has to hold across the whole journey, so the set is not split. The launch price runs until 23 September 2026, after which it returns to $999 AUD.

11 · Before you buy

Questions people ask.

What is a Lean Six Sigma project storyboard?
A project storyboard is the single documented record of an improvement project, from the opportunity that started it through to the result that was sustained. It holds the charter, the baseline data, the root cause analysis, the solution selection, the control plan and the sign off, in phase order, so a coach, a sponsor or a certifying body can follow the reasoning end to end. This toolkit is that storyboard as a ready to fill template, in Excel and PowerPoint, across all three belt levels.
Which versions of Excel and PowerPoint do I need?
Microsoft Office 2016 or later on Windows or macOS, or Microsoft 365. Google Sheets, Google Slides and LibreOffice will open the files, though some conditional formatting and chart styling may render differently.
Are the Excel workbooks and the PowerPoint deck the same thing?
No. They cover the same 75 tools but they are built for different jobs. The workbooks hold the live formulas and are where you enter data and run the analysis. The deck has no formulas and is built to be projected at a tollgate review. Most people run the workbook throughout the project and present from the deck at each gate.
Can I edit the sheets and slides?
Yes. Nothing is locked. Rename sheets, change wording, add rows, insert your own charts and apply your organisation's branding.
Can I use these for client work or in my own training?
The standard purchase covers use inside your own organisation and on your own projects. To distribute the storyboards to students, clients or a cohort under your own brand, contact us about a trainer licence.
Do I need to buy all three belts?
The set is sold as one product. The full price is $999 AUD and the launch offer price is $499 AUD. Splitting the belts breaks the point of the format, which is one structure that carries you from Yellow Belt through to Black Belt.
Is this accredited?
Lean 6 Sigma Hub is accredited by the Council for Six Sigma Certification for belt training. The storyboard set is a documentation tool and carries no exam or certificate of its own.
Will it satisfy my certifying body?
It captures the artefacts most bodies ask for, including charter, baseline, root cause validation, solution selection, control plan and financial validation. Requirements vary, so check your provider's submission criteria and add anything specific they request.
What if the files do not work for me?
Contact us within 30 days and we will refund the purchase. Digital files cannot be returned, so the refund is offered on trust.
